The City of St. Charles School District is hosting a “Family Festival” that lets students and parents learn more about local youth, family and community organizations.
The festival is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at St. Charles High School from 5:00-7:00 p.m., rain or shine, and offers many activities for family members of all ages.
“Our goal is to provide an event that allows parents and students an opportunity to get familiar with many of the great local organizations that serve youth and families,” said Dr. Jason Sefrit, district superintendent. “We hope that bringing these people together will help strengthen the community.”
Care to Learn, an organization that looks to solve issues of health, hunger and hygiene to improve student success, is the main sponsor for the festival. In addition to Care to Learn, more than 50 other local organizations will be in attendance to inform attendees of the services they provide.
The festival will offer a limited amount of hygiene and food bags as giveaways. Refreshments of hot dogs and water will be provided as well.
