SCSD names Jeremy Shields as Asst. Superintendent of Operations

The City of St. Charles School District is excited to announce that Jeremy Shields has been selected to serve as the district’s assistant superintendent of operations, effective July 1, 2022. The District’s Board of Education approved the selection at its February 10, 2022 meeting.

Shields currently serves as the principal for Jefferson Intermediate, a role he has occupied since 2016. Prior to his current role, Shields served as assistant principal at Hardin Middle from 2012-2016.

“This is an exciting new step in my journey at the City of St. Charles School District,” Shields said. “I’m thankful for this opportunity to serve the community in this new capacity and for the trust the district has put into me in naming me for this position”

Shields holds two degrees: a Master of Science in Education Administration from Missouri Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Hannibal-LaGrange University.

“We are very excited for Jeremy’s new role in the St. Charles School District family,” said Dr. Jason Sefrit, superintendent of schools. “In the 15 years he’s been with the district, Jeremy has excelled in all the positions he’s held and we’re certain he’ll do the same in this one.”

Shields will be replacing Dr. Charles Brazeale, who is retiring at the end of the 2021-2022 school year after serving the district faithfully for twelve years.
