Ms. Casey Lober

SCHOOL COUNSELOR/ADMISSIONS

Ms. Lober discovered her passion for helping kids succeed in school while she worked as a school resource officer in the Rockwood School District. She was employed as a police officer for the St. Louis County Police Department for seven years before she became a school counselor for Lewis & Clark in 2008.  In her position, Ms. Lober leads the admissions process for prospective students and is the main liaison between Lewis & Clark students and their “home” school counselor.  Ms. Lober is a proud graduate of Fort Zumwalt North and earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Systems from Truman State University.  She also earned a master’s degree in school counseling at Lindenwood.

When not at Lewis & Clark, Ms. Lober spends much of her spare time with her two children at their sporting events.  She also plays club soccer and enjoys reading, cooking, and the outdoors.  In addition, Ms. Lober volunteers for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.

Mrs. Kristin Brent

CAREER RESOURCE EDUCATOR/COUNSELOR

A proud graduate of Fort Zumwalt North, Mrs. Brent pursued her desire to be a teacher by attending Missouri Baptist University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. She taught history at Wright City High School and then Francis Howell Central where she switched to become a special education teacher as well. In 2009, Mrs. Brent joined the staff at Lewis & Clark as the CRE counselor ensuring all students with an IEP receive their services.  Mrs. Brent has also earned a Master of Science in Counselor Education and an Education Specialist in Curriculum Design and Implementation at Missouri Baptist.

Mrs. Brent is married with five children which keeps her exceptionally busy outside of school. She loves to bake and enjoys quilting in the little spare time she enjoys.

Mrs. Carla Johnson

SKILLS CENTER COORDINATOR 

Mrs. Johnson loves her “dream job” as a skills center coordinator for students at Lewis & Clark.  She works with a wide variety of students to ensure their reading and math performance is on par with the expectations of their respective programs. A graduate of Fort Zumwalt South, Mrs. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lindenwood and a Master of Science in education from Missouri Baptist University.  She is certified as a high school English teacher, a library media specialist, as well as a special education teacher.  Prior to joining Lewis & Clark in 2010, Mrs. Johnson taught English at Timberland High School in Wentzville.

Mrs. Johnson is married and has two children.  As a family, they love to camp on weekends where Mrs. Johnson water skis whenever possible. When not camping or spending time with her family, Mrs. Johnson enjoys making crafts from Pinterest and trying new recipes.

Ms. Jessie Skeen

Career Services Specialist

Ms. Skeen joined Lewis & Clark as the Career Services Specialist in October 2022. As the Career Services Specialist, Ms. Skeen administers ACE testing for prospective students and works with current students on resumes, job interviewing and placement. She also coordinates the biannual career fair, attracting over 85 employers and colleges interested in recruiting Lewis & Clark students. In addition, Ms. Skeen works with area manufacturers through the Department of Economic Development’s Missouri One Start Customized Training Program. She has worked on the Lewis & Clark campus since 2018, in her previous role as the CEA Program Specialist for St. Charles County CAPS. Prior to working at Lewis & Clark, Ms. Skeen was an employment & training case manager for MERS/Goodwill. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an MBA, with an emphasis in Human Resources, from Lindenwood University.

Ms. Skeen has 5 children and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, camping and being near the water, baking cupcakes, and playing sand volleyball.

The students choose to spend half of their day at Lewis & Clark to gain knowledge about a career that interests them. The teachers have hands-on experience in the programs they teach and are passionate about passing on that knowledge to their students.”

Mrs. Sandy Schmidt

REGISTRAR

Mrs. Schmidt has been the registrar since 2005.  The registrar is the official record keeper of the school.  Enrollment, grades, transcripts, follow-up and testing data, and the web site are some of Mrs. Schmidt’s duties. She is a graduate of Lewis & Clark’s former Data Entry program.  She is married and enjoys reading, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
